Morphicon 2007
Morphicon is a furry convention held in central Ohio. This was our fourth year, and the first one I didn't chair! I actually got to attend a room party one night, and I even got about four hours sleep per night. I managed Programming this year, which kept me busy all the time, but no longer insanely so. (I was so overworked in 2006, I actually don't remember that year.)
Our theme for this year was "Technofurs". Our t-shirts were filled with glow-in-the-dark awesomeness and sold out quickly (we had to make a second order). Registration went smoothly and quickly thanks to Thursday night registration and the new Morphicon database, built from the ground up by yours truly.
There are three sizes of image: thumbnail, small, and full-size. Click on the thumbnail to see the small image. Click on the small image (a second click) to see the full-size image.

I took a lot of pics this year...perhaps an inordinate number of the fursuiter in the red pants but there was something oddly attractive about him... Hmm. There were a lot of girl suits out and about this year, including Samantha. Speaking of which, Robert King won the free Patron membership in the raffle so now he has to come back next year. ;) (Rigged! Fixed!)
I wrote and directed most of the Spectacle of Doom again (the new name for our pre-scripted variety show). The two highlights for me were the "Coin-Operated Boy" choreography, and the Alien spoof with Vixie. It was great having Steve Plunkett and Kitt Foxx as guests of honor, and Summer Jackel too. They all seemed to have an enjoyable con.
Yes, I was a Hypertrophe again. The special badges this year were in the style of album covers. Here's what my badge looked like (a-la 80's "Jem"):

This was the first year I underestimated the turnout. We had over 30% growth with more than 245 registrations! The feedback was extremely positive, apart from issues with hotel construction that will be resolved next year. I guess we're doing something right. Because of grad school I won't be on staff in 2008, but I'll still help out behind the scenes. Hope to see you there!
